We believe education at the grassroots community level is a key element in moving toward more sustainable lifestyles at a faster pace. Local, sustainable food systems, a wider network of community gardens, edible school yards, and neighborhood farmers markets and food co-ops are not only priorities for the economic or environmental elite. Talking among ourselves in groups facilitated by our neighbors and friends will connect the dots between local, fresh and hopefully easily accessible and affordable organic food and better health for ourselves, our children and our aging mothers and fathers. This information is so important that we can’t allow cultural filters to keep us uninformed or unconcerned.  We hope you find a discussion course that is perfect for your community group, school, book club, library, interfaith get-together, and senior or recreation center activity.

We’re happy to assist with formation of one or more discussion circles anywhere in Pennsylvania. If you need assistance organizing your discussion circle, contact: greensanctuary@usguu.org with your contact information.  Be sure to include a contact name and phone number in your email. Thank you!
